Ford - 1933 3 Window Coupe

This 1933 Ford 3 Window Coupe was built to closely resemble the ZZ Top Coupe that was made famous in several of their music videos. The guy that owned it, at the time of the commission, was a retired cop from the Midwest. He was going to sell it and he wanted the drawing done as a remembrance. I wish I could have afforded to buy it myself because it was very nicely done. This is one of my personal favorite drawings of a street rod. I took the photographs of the car while it was at a car show to do the drawing. I’m pretty sure that he was the one who named it ZZ Cop, which I think is a pretty clever play on words. Whether he named it or not, I know that’s what he was calling it. The drawing was done by hand using ink, permanent artist’s markers and watercolors.
