International - 1962 Scout |

This custom ’62 International Scout was commissioned by a father as a surprise gift to his son who built the vehicle. It was built as a tribute to a brother who had owned the Scout prior to his untimely passing. The real vehicle is absolutely gorgeous, and is one of the most unique versions of a Scout that I’ve ever seen. It was also a blast to draw. It’s one of those vehicles that looks even better in person than it does in photographs. Surprisingly, the body actually has very few modifications that were performed, but it looks vastly different than a stock Scout. It does sit on a custom tube frame, has four wheel disc brakes, and is powered by a high performance Chevy LS series engine. It was hand drawn using ink, permanent artist’s markers and watercolor paint. Since the completion of the drawing, I have had the pleasure of seeing the vehicle in person and meeting the man who both owns and built it. He told me that he really loved the drawing. |
